ALBANY-Robert Lee Boston "Bob", 76 of Albany passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was born in Lamar, SC on April 20, 1937, the son of the late Hittie Boston. Robert moved to New York City /Brooklyn as a young man and worked in New York City for a while before moving to Albany, NY as a NYS Capital Police for Governor Rockefeller in 1972. Later, Robert was a Corrections Officer for Hudson Correctional Facility. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and listening to Jazz, Blues and Soul. Robert also enjoyed hanging out at the "23" truck stop, Stewarts and Cumberland Farms. He also enjoyed playing his lottery numbers, but most of all he loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren and family.
Robert is survived by his wife Lisa May S. Boston; his children Robin, Vanessa, and Calvin; stepsons Mel, Karaheem, and Andre; and step daughters Brittany, Shakeino, Brandie, Theresa and Shelly; granddaughters Shaquana, Malasyia, Mecenia, Earmethia and Carmen; grandson Laquan; great grandchildren Jamair, Travon, Christopher, Unique, Javion, Tkeyah and Tyonna. He is also survived by his good friends Amy "his sidekick", Peggy and Marth and a host of family and friends.
Calling hours will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM on Friday, September 20, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to immediately follow at 12 PM.
Interment will be at Albany Rural Cemetery, Menands.
