TROY - Robert Lee Daniels, Sr. (Robbie) passed away peacefully on August 30th, 2015, just four days after celebrating his 71st birthday.
Robbie was born in Greeleyville, South Carolina in 1944 from the union of the late Lonnie and Naomi(Ragins) Daniels. Robbie migrated to Troy, NY in 1963 at age 19, after graduating high school. He dedicated 30 years to Allied Bendix Corp. before retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Sons of Moses, Lodge 438.
Gone but not forgotten, Robbie leaves behind his wife Gwendolyn C. (Dukes) Daniels; five children; Rodney, Rhona , Robert Jr., Rolanda and Rendell Daniels; five grandchildren; Rianna, Naomi, Noah Daniels, Jordan Pryor and Brandon Boisseau. Siblings; Shirley Tyson, Dana and (Joyce) Daniels
and Jerry and (Beulah) Daniels. He will also be missed by several nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held at Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie on Saturday, September 5, 2015 from 10:00am-11:00am, with a memorial service to immediately follow.
