COLONIE – Robert L. Hogrebe, 83, passed away on October 8, 2011 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Center in Schenectady.
Robert was born on February 27, 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, PA and was the son of the late Anthony and Olga (Pliscott) Hogrebe. He worked as a machinist for Bridon American in Wilkes-Barre for many years before retiring at the age of 64. A longtime resident of Wilkes-Barre, Robert moved to Colonie a few years ago to be closer to his daughter. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and the rifle range in his early days. Later in life he found pleasure spending time at the Crossings Park.
Robert is survived by his loving daughters, Charlene (Bob) Schlude of Colonie and Carol Green of Hanover, PA; his cherished grandchildren, Katie (Jason) DiPierro, Megan Green and Bradley Schlude; his brothers, James (Marcy), Larry (Helen), and John; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn; his brothers, Anthony and Edward and his sister, Olga.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home in Colonie.
