Robert L. Pompey

TROY – Robert L. Pompey, 44, passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Born in Troy, Robert is the son of Betty (Canty) Pompey of Troy and the late Emanuel "Bobby" Pompey. He worked for Orthopedic Associates and Training Room, Inc. both in Baltimore, MD. He enjoyed playing Xbox and watching football, especially "Steeler Nation".
In addition to his loving mother, Robert is survived by his devoted fiancée, Tina Potter of Troy; his loving daughters, En'Dasia Pompey of Troy and Amere Blue of Baltimore, MD; his loving sister, Eleana Allen and her husband, Reginald of Troy; his niece, Ayanna Allen; his nephew and godson, Ahmad Allen and his best friend and "brother", Shaunce Burns. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he is predeceased by his son, Robert "Shorty" Pompey Jr. and his sister, Loretta Pompey
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 514 7th Ave., Troy. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
