Robert L. Relyea

Clifton Park – Robert Lansing Relyea, 78, passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on November 17, 2014.

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp., serving 14 years and three tours of duty in Vietnam. He then returned to the States and worked as an investigator for the Schenectady Police Dept., before retiring in 1988. Robert was a Life Member of the VFW Post #1895.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Claire Relyea; his sons, Robert "Bob" (Debbie) Relyea and William (Donna) Relyea; his step-daughter, Debra (Dan) Curran; and step-son Timothy (Loreen) Racht. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Robert was predeceased by his step-son Thomas Racht Jr.

Robert will be laid to rest on Thursday, November 20th at 12:00 p.m. at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, where he will receive full military honors.
