ALBANY – Robert M. Follett, 77, of Albany, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the VA Hospital after a long illness.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Milton and Irene Follett. Bob served in the US army during the Korean War. He worked industrial security throughout the Capital Region for many years. He was an avid musician and known locally as "Banjo Bob".
Bob is the uncle of Irene Miller, Darlene Maselli and Billy Brown. He is the cousin of Paul (Mary Ann) Bellows, Bill (Judy) Bellows, Mary Ann Riley and Gail Ann Meyer.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday morning at 10:30 at Blessed Sacrament Church, Albany. A calling hour will precede the Mass on Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
