Robert M. Milos, Sr.

March 22, 1950 — January 23, 2013

Robert M. Milos, Sr., 62, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital with his family by his side. Bob was born in Troy, NY to the late Henry and Mary Milos.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Nancy (Feeney) Milos; he is the cherished father of Russ (Deana) Antonacci, Cindy Milos and Robert "Mikey" Milos, Jr.; and he is the beloved Poppy of Tonya and Timothy Antonacci and Nicholas Milos. Bob also leaves behind his brother Tom (Jeanette) and his sisters Joy Milos, Janet Rundle and Patrice (Curt) Spalding. He leaves his brother-in-law Bill Feeney, Georgianna Pierce and John Feeney. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who always referred to him as their favorite "Uncle Bob" along with dozens of loved cousins.

Bob was set to retire from Freihofer's in March where he had worked for 42 years. It was there that he met his wife Nancy, created lifelong friendships, and had hundreds of stories to tell. When not at work, Bob's main focus was his family. He could often be found helping at one of his children's homes or hosting them all at his own home. His favorite times were any holiday when the whole family would gather for a big meal – especially Thanksgivings when the whole Milos crew would descend from far corners arriving at Bob and Nancy's. Bob also loved spending time with his grandchildren and was so excited that he would soon be able to attend all their athletic events and school functions. When at home, Bob loved to cook, garden and watch a variety of sports – usually his beloved Giants, Yankees or Notre Dame. He had also been known to travel "up the Northway" with Nancy, and also enjoyed traveling to D.C. and N.C. to visit with family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrate Bob's life on Monday, January 28, 2013 at St. Clare's Church at 9am. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. His burial will follow at Memory Gardens.
