Robert C. Macfawn

COLONIE- Robert "Hoagie" MacFawn was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He left this world on February 6, 2022 at the age of 80.
He was born to Elias and Mildred MacFawn on January 13, 1942.
Bob is survived by his beautiful wife, Victoria Heidelmark MacFawn; his loving children: Robert (Kathy) MacFawn, James MacFawn, Joseph MacFawn and Justina (Scott-deceased) Seavey. He was a very proud grandfather to Robert MacFawn III, Evan MacFawn, Dylan MacFawn (deceased), Owen MacFawn, Michael Seavey and Ryan MacFawn, as well as step grandkids: Antonio Fiacco, Katina Rizzo and Katelyn Hazzard.
Bob went to Cardinal McCloskey School and was an accomplished basketball player. After school, he had a very long career at the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance. After retirement, he decided to become a Hall Monitor at Bethlehem Central High School in order to keep an eye on his autistic grandson Michael. He loved that job so much and all the children that after Michael left he decided to stay on.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his calling hours on Thursday February 10, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, New York 12205. A service will follow at 12 Noon. Facemasks are required inside of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion, Delmar, NY or to Rolling Thunder NY Chapter 5.
