ALBANY – Robert David McMullin, 82, passed away on November 16, 2005. He was a native of Albany, born June 9, 1923. Robert was the son of the late Milton and Nola McMullin and husband of the late Agnes Shirley McMullin. Mr. McMullin served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He retired on April 17, 1989 as Captain with the Albany Fire Dept. after 34 years of service. He was a member of the Permanent Professional Firefighters Retiree's Association and the V.F.W. Sheehy-Palmer Post # 6776. Mr. McMullin is survived by his son, Robert McMullin, Jr. of Charlestown, IN and his daughter, Cheryl McMullin of Slingerlands. Also surviving are one granddaughter and her husband, two grandsons, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Milton and his sister, Eileen. Robert's family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's who took such good care of him during his final days.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:30 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Catherine of Siena Church at 9:30 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Robert D. McMullin.
