Guilderland- Robert E. Osterhout, 73, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side on April 26, 2018 at Van Rensselaer Manor. The son of the late Orson and Lyra (Wessel) Osterhout, Robert was born on February 13, 1945 in Albany, NY. Robert served his country honorably and faithfully during the Vietnam War in the US Army.
Robert is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bonnie R. (Sherwin) Osterhout; his children: Douglas and Robert E., Jr.; his brother, Richard (Gayle) Osterhout. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Mary Jane Kearns.
Robert's family wishes to thank the staff of Van Rensselaer Manor for their loving and compassionate care.
In keeping with the family's wishes, all services will be private.
