COLONIE – Robert H. Otis, 63, of Colonie, passed away at his home on Monday, April 17, 2006. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Leon Otis and Dorothy (Otis) Dart. He lived in Colonie for all of his life. Bob was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1961 through 1964. He was co-owner of S.O.S. Truck Body Repair, Inc. in Colonie for twenty years before his retirement. Bob was a life member of the Fuller Road Fire Dept. and Chief Restorer of their 1958 Mack Pumper which is used in various parades and activities. Bob is the beloved husband of 39 years to Dawn L. Otis. He is the devoted father of Donna L. Iacabucci and her husband, Joseph of Colonie and Linda D. Otis and her fiancé, Lewis DeVoe of Glenmont. Bob is the brother of Donald Otis and his wife, Rosemary of Rotterdam, Dorita Nobles and her husband, Theodore of Schenectady and Bertrand Dart and his wife, Kate of Wisconsin. He is the cherished grandfather of Santino and Samantha Iacabucci of Colonie and Breanna DeVoe of Delmar. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 10:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
