Robert George Peters

Saratoga Springs- Robert "Bob" Peters, Sr., 80, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Robert was the son of the late Frank and Marie Peters. Robert was the devoted husband to the late Janet Peters. They were married 56 years.

Bob was devoted to his family. The joys of his life were his grandchildren and great grandchildren, of whom he was very proud. Bob was a driver! He loved to travel, was an avid golfer and was a Myrtle Beach Snowbird for many years. Bob had a career in transportation starting with the Traction Company, then Adirondack Trailways, Wade Tours, retiring after many years at Brown Transportation. Throughout his transportation career, Bob drove many tours around the United States and Canada with his wife, Janet as the hostess.

Bob is survived by his children, Lori (Bill) Staigar, Linda (Pat) Costello, Bob, Jr. (Donna), Richard (Alison), Kathy Corsi; grandchildren, Claire (Chris) Uotila, Will (Sarah) Staigar, Jesse Staigar, Nick (Lauren) Klercker, Billy Klercker, Andrea (Phil) Hoehman-Pawlak, Erica (Chris) Donato, Bob III (Stefanie) Peters, Anna Peters, Sean Peters, Nicole McMoy, Ashley (John) Brisee, and Megan Corsi; and several step-grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and many loving relatives and friends. Bob is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lori Waite at 100 years young.

Visitations will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie.
