Robert R. Bouvier

Colonie- Robert R. Bouvier, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015 after a brief illness. He was the son of the late Clarence and Fay Bouvier of Malone, NY.
Robert retired from the New York Telephone Company after 35 years. He was a member of the West Albany Volunteer Fire Company #1 for over 55 years and also a member of the Police Athletic League for over 25 years. He was a proud veteran who served in the United States Navy as an air-gunner in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. Robert had a kind heart and volunteered for many organizations over the years including the Red Cross where he helped out in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina.
Robert is survived by his wife Joan of 67 years, children: Susan (Joe) Robitaille, Patricia (Patrick) Swezey and Craig (Elaine) Bouvier. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Matthew, Michael, Allison, Christopher, Eric, Nicole and CJ, and six great grandchildren and a seventh expected in the next coming week.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany.
A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 10:00am at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr, Albany, NY 12211. Interment will follow the mass at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery (Colonie).
