Robert J. Reed

Saratoga Springs- Robert J. Reed, 77, loving father, brother, and son passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 with his loving family by his side. Bob was the son of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Reed.

A graduate of Shaker high school, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served proudly until his honorable discharge. Bob graduated from Siena College and worked as a tax accountant for the State of New York for 33 years and served 25 years in the Air National Guard.

Bob was an American Red Cross volunteer and an active member of the Kayaderosseras Fish & Game Club in Ballston Spa. He was a loyal New York Mets fan and an avid golfer who owned at least 9 putters. He enjoyed boating, fishing, and spending time with his family.

Bob is survived by his son Jason, his son Michael and Michael's partner Anne, their loving mother, Emily Reed, his son David Saunders and David's wife April Saunders along with their children Rylee and Landon, his brother Bill Reed and his sister Kathy Bonk, as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York 12189 on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 11am to 12pm with a funeral service to immediately follow at 12pm. Burial will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
