Clifton Park - Robert Rucinski, 92, passed away on Tuesday, February 21st at the Schuyler Ridge Residential Care Facility in Clifton Park, NY.
Born in New Haven, CT, Robert was the son of the late Theodore and Alice Rucinski and was a graduate of Albany High School.
Robert was a devoted husband to his wife Jean for 71 years, and served honorably for 4 years in the USN during the Korean Conflict before his career in data processing.
Robert was ordained as a deacon in the Catholic Church in the diocese of Manchester, NH in 1983 and he also served in the Albany Diocese at Our Lady of the Assumption in Latham, N.Y. until retiring in 2000. After retiring, he was a volunteer with Schenectady Hospice for 10 years. Robert was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Crescent.
He was predeceased by his wife Jean (2023), his brothers William (2011) and Theodore (2016).
He is survived by his son Loren (Mary Ellen) of Ballston Lake, his grandchildren TJ (Alicia), Kevin (Liza), Timothy (Emily), and his great grandchildren Julia, Grace (TJ/Alicia), Gavin, Benjamin, William (Kevin/Liza) as well as 3 nephews and 1 niece.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff at the Schuyler Ridge Residential Care Facility and The Community Hospice for the amazing care that Robert received there.
At the family's request Funeral Services will be limited to the immediate family at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Crescent, NY.
