Albany- Robert G. Smith, 82, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on August 5, 2017. Born on December 24, 1934 in Albany, NY, Bob was the son of the late James W. and Clara (VanAlstyne) Smith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Evelyn (Nevins) Smith; his son Robert J. (Cynthia Seymour) Smith; he is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In keeping with Bob's wishes, services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Bob's family would like to the thank the staff of Community Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
