Robert Snyder

Troy- Robert O. Snyder, 66, of Troy, passed away on Saturday January 6, 2007 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albany. He was born in Bethlehem and was the son of the late Peter Snyder and May Beckman Garret.
Bob served in the US Army from 1963 thru 1965. He was a tour mechanic at the Fort Orange Paper Company in Castleton for over forty years.
He is the beloved husband of 37 years to Christine Mucha Snyder. He is the father of Robert (Maria) Chiefari and Cynthia (Jay) Ryan . He is the brother of Ellie Ames, Elizabeth (Gilbert) Baker and Douglas (Marilee) Snyder. Grandfather of Troy, Derek and Savannah Chiefari; Sean and Kaitlyn Ryan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 10:00 at Newcomer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National VA Cemetery, Schuylerville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Newcomerfamily.com
