Niskayuna-Robert L. Stephens, age 82 of Oak Tree Lane, Niskayuna, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, July 20, 2018. At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass to celebrate "Bob's" life will be planned at a later date.
Bob was born December 24, 1935 in Newport, Vermont. He graduated from CBA with the class of 1954 and went on to Niagara University for an accounting degree. His career led him into the baking business where he spent many years and retired from Freihofer's Baking Company in 2001. Since then he has enjoyed 17 wonderful years of retirement, relaxing, gardening, and visiting his grandchildren. He was an avid Yankees Fan!
Bob is survived by his childhood sweetheart and loving wife of 60 years, Rosemary (Schnurr) Stephens, and three children: Michele (Brian) Logan, Brent (Jenny) Stephens, and Wendy (Robert) Counter, and seven grandchildren.
