Robert T. Mcauliffe

Robert McAuliffe, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday at the Community Hospice Inn, St. Peters surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Woonsocket, RI to the late John and Elizabeth McAuliffe. After serving for the United States Navy Robert worked for New York State SUNY in Albany for many years. Robert was a member of Mater Christi Church and a volunteer at St. Peters Chapel where he served as a Eucharist Minister and a lector, and was a dedicated member to The Legion of Mary with the Franciscans of Rensselaer. In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his brothers Jack and Paul McAuliffe.
Robert is survived by his sister-in-law, Rita McAuliffe; his nieces and nephews, Jacqueline O'Connell, Joseph (Nancy) McAuliffe, Joanne (Bill) Ziegler, Paul McAuliffe, Jean Knight, Maryann (Bill) Kot, John (Carol) McAuliffe and Stephanie (Jim) Zalot. He is also survived by numerous great- nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon Friday at Mater Christ Parish, Albany. Calling hours will precede the Mass from 9:00 to 11:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery.
