West Sand Lake- Robert T. Salisbury "Bob", 66, passed away after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Bob was the son of the late George and Lillian Salisbury.
Bob was very ambitious and enjoyed working with his hands. His knowledge and ability to build or fix anything from engines to computers was widely known, not to mention his inventiveness. Bob loved the outdoors, especially camping and golfing. Everyone who knew him could count on him as he was always there to give a helping hand, which also lent to his love of teaching and coaching. Bob loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. Bob was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Betty (Breininger) Salisbury whom he adored. Robert is also survived by his children; Tom (Sherry), Dave (Dee), Rob (MJ), and Suzie (Aaron). Robert is also survived by his grandchildren who knew him as "Papa"; Emily, Tommy, Kaitlyn, Tyler and Evan.

The family would like to thank all the people who have donated blood and platelets over the duration of his illness. They encourage everyone to donate to help current and future patients fight this disease.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, February 8th, 2015 at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. A funeral mass will be held Monday, February 9, 2015 at 10:00am at Christ the King Parish, 20 Sumpter Ave, Albany, NY 12203. Burial will follow mass at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
