VERO BEACH, FL - Robert Thomas Gaddor, 86, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Indian River Medical Center. Born August 11, 1928 in Port Henry, NY, he was the son of the late Henry Gaddor and May (LaBarge) Gaddor Simon.
Robert lived in Albany, Colonie and Schodack prior to moving to Vero Beach, FL. He retired from Cargill, Inc. Robert proudly served as Local #54 President of the American Federation of Grain Millers for over 20 years. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and family. Robert was an avid Red Sox fan.
Along with his parents, Robert was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Jacqueline (Kenific) Gaddor; son Raymond Gaddor; step-father Max Simon; one brother and three sisters.
He is survived by his brother, Charles Simon (Ginny); daughter Joanne McGrath (Lee); stepson Robert Golden; grandchildren Kelly Monington, Jamie Ferlazzo, Kayleigh Gaddor, Lisa Golden, Kate Golden and Alison Golden; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Old Post Road South, Schodack.
