Scotia - Robert Thompson, 67, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 with his loving family by his side. Robert was the son of the late Paul V. Thompson and Helen T. Thompson.
Robert enjoyed spending time with his family and loved cooking for them. Robert also loved golfing with his life-long friend, Tommy and his sons. He was also an avid reader and loved being at the beach and ocean.
Robert is survived by his sons, Erik J. Thompson and Mark R. Thompson, and his three brothers; Gerald, Kenneth and Stephen. He is also survived by his grandson, Jonathan Thompson.
Memorial calling hours will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Friday, August 5, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, Paralyzed Veterans of America and St. Jude's Children's Hospital, as he supported these organizations for many years.
