SCHENECTADY- Robert "Bob" B. Warner passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, August 18, 2017.
Born in Staten Island on May 20, 1950, Bob settled in the Capital Region after meeting the love of his life, Brenda (Halterman) Warner. They were wed in July of 1978 and shared almost 40 years together. He was a devoted husband and loving father/grandfather who will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Bob loved spending time with his wife and family. He was also known to enjoy cooking, fishing and carpentry, which included owning his own home improvement business for a brief period. He remained a loyal fan of Little League Baseball and even coached for his son's team, Colonie Little League, and also the Rotterdam Little League Challenger's (Little League's adaptive baseball program for children with special needs). Bob retired from Albany Winwater Works Co. in 2012.
He is survived by his beloved wife Brenda; his sons, Robert (Sarah) and Anthony (Brittany); his siblings, James Warner, Virginia Drew, and Clare Bonafede; his two granddaughters, Makayla Warner and Abigail Warner; loving in-laws, Irene and Herbert Halterman; as well as numerous other family and friends. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Edwin J. Warner, and his mother, Virginia R. McGovern Warner.
Visitation will be held at New Comer Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205, on Monday, August 28, 2017 from 10:00am-11:00am, with a service to immediately follow.
