LOUDONVILLE- Robert H. Whitlock Sr., 77, of Loudonville, passed away on Saturday July 29, 2007 at Albany Memorial Hospital. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Harold H. and Gladys Wark Whitlock.
Bob served in the US Navy from 1950-1954. He was truck driver with Red Star Express in Glenmont , retiring several years ago. Bob was an active member of Community Reformed Church of Colonie, Colonie Seniors and the Colonie Elks. He enjoyed traveling, camping, trips with the Seniors, playing cards, bocce, bingo bowling and working in his yard.
The family would like to thank Albany Memorial Hospital, nurses, doctors and all of the staff that helped keep Robert safe and comfortable throughout his illness until he passed onto a better place.
He was predeceased in 1992 by his wife Rosa Self Whitlock. He is the beloved father of Deborah Mink, Diana Harper, April (Michael) Charbonneau and Robert (Cassi) Whitlock Jr. He is the brother of James Whitlock. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:30 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave).
