ROTTERDAM – Roberta E. Vendetti (Wickham), 68 of Rotterdam, died November 8th 2008 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
She was a graduate of Draper High School and was a lifelong resident of Rotterdam. She had been employed by the NYS Dept. of Tax & Finance before retiring in 1996 after 38 years of service. She was a member of CSEA. She was predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth Verteramo and Robert Wickham.
Roberta enjoyed reading, gardening and was a loyal supporter of the ASPCA, North Shore Animal League of America and a number of other animal rights organizations. Roberta acted as a loving mother to more than her family. Close friends and acquaintances were touched during her life. Over her and the family's lifetime, they had many dogs, and cats, too numerous to mention by name. They were cared for, loved and brought much joy to her life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Russell Vendetti; two sons, John (Tracey Flanders) and Joseph (Jennifer); her daughter Nancy Tillman; her grandchildren, Brennan, Alexandra (Lexi), and Nadia Vendetti and Stephen Swett. She is the sister of John Wickham, David, George and Karl Skokan and Karen Saunders. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
In conforming with her wishes, there will be calling hours or public services.
