Rodney C. Myers, 83, longtime resident of Albany, NY, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 surrounded by family.

Born on March 16, 1940, he was the son of the late Joseph and Louise (Einzig) Myers.
He worked for several branches as a Manager, and later retired as VP at Key Bank, Albany. His passion in life was genealogy and gardening. Rodney loved Christmas. He would decorate the house with numerous trees and villages. Rodney was a devout Christian and volunteered as an usher at Christ our Light Church where he met the love of his life, Shirley.
Rodney is survived by many nieces and nephews. He will be especially missed by his loving nephew, John (Kirk) Hudson, who he help raise.
In addition to his parents, Rodney was predeceased by his loving wife of 33 years, Shirley Swanker Myers. His siblings, Elizabeth (Clarence) Eckert, Robert Myers, Geraldine Myers, Dorothy (John) Hudson, Shirley (Corky) Lilenthal; and his nephew, Tommy Hudson.
Visitation will take place on Friday, February 16, 2024 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A Funeral Service will take place at 11:30 am, followed by interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 983 Watervliet Shaker Rd., Colonie.
The family would like to give special thanks to those on the 3rd floor HB at Baptist Nursing Home
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Rodney's name may be made to Baptist Nursing Home.
