Roger L. Sawyer, 30, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, October 19, 2017.
Roger was the son of Clarence "Skip", Jr. and Patricia Sawyer.
He graduated from Guilderland High School with honors in 2005, where he wrestled his entire High School career. He also won in the Empire State Games while in College.
His favorite thing was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Roger is survived by his brothers and sister; Richard Sawyer, Clarence "Skippy" III (Kayla Sidoti), Josh (Tiffany) Sawyer, Jason Sawyer and Jessica Yanko. He is also survived by his nieces and nephew; Savannah, Austin, Peyton, Dakota, Paisley, Autumn and many aunts, uncles, cousins and his girlfriend, Anita.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY on Tuesday October 24, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the RMHC, 139 South Lake Avenue, Albany, NY 12208, care of the family room at Albany Medical Center in Roger's memory.
