Rona L. Ervin

ALBANY – Rona L. Ervin, 49, passed away on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Rona was born on October 1, 1962 in Queens and was the daughter of the late William and Ann (Oliver) Ervin.
Rona loved to dance, play games on Xbox and listening to the violin.
Rona is survived by her husband, Hubert "Petey" Moorer; her sons, Michael Reyes (Danielle Grotton), Aron Ervin (Kanako Sumida) and Brandon Ervin; her sisters and brothers, Nora Ervin (Warren Lyons), William Ervin (Tawanda), Velma Sadio (Mitchell), Margaret Ervin (Linda Means), Bruce Ervin, Sandra Ervin (Ronald Pope), George Ervin (Dorothy), James Ervin (Yvonne) and Craig Smith (Linda); one granddaughter, Brianna Reyes. She is also survived by several cousins and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Nevaeh Ervin.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
