Ronald A. Johnston

Ronald A. Johnston, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Albany Medical Center Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Ronald was born in Albany to the late Andrew and Ruth Johnston. He worked for Air Products and Chemicals in Glenmont until his retirement. Ronald loved to watch sports, especially baseball. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his precious grandchildren. Ronald had a great personality and sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Patricia (Cerutti) Johnston; his beloved children, James (Patricia) Johnston, Kimberly (Chuck) Gould, Jennifer (Robert) Giuliano and Stephanie Johnston; his adored grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, Christopher, Kyle, Tori, Nick, Marisa and Sofia. He is also survived by his two sisters; Elsie (Tom) Constable, Betty Jane Hebert, and several nieces, nephews and close friends.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 7:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Albany Office 7 Washington Square, Albany, NY 12205 in Ron's honor.
