Ronald E. Cassin

Albany-Ronald E. Cassin, 60, passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Schenectady on December 4, 1957 to the late E. Ronald and Jeannette Madonna Cassin. Ron attended Christian Brothers Academy, Class of 1976. Ron had a lifelong career in the commercial flooring industry where he developed many long lasting friendships. At every opportunity, Ron could be found doing what he loved, golfing, especially at Orchard Creek Golf Course. If not golfing he could be found doing yard work, home projects and watching football; especially the Giants.

Ron is survived by the love of his life, Sue Malewicz; his children, Nicholas Cassin (Molly Hyde) with a grandbaby on the way who he was eagerly waiting to meet and Kayla Cassin (Austin Witmer); siblings, Karen Casper (Hugh) and their children, Matthew Casper and Stefanie Bloomer; Fred Cassin (Jennifer) and their children, William & Emily Cassin; Michael Cassin (Karen) and their daughter, Sophia Cassin; and his beloved four-legged companion, Reagan. Ron had many close friends and golf buddies; who he would be there for at the drop of a hat.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 12noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, 12205, where calling hours will be held prior starting at 10am. A private burial will be held at Memory Gardens, Albany.
