Ronald Edward Teller, 84, of Rotterdam NY left this earth suddenly on Wednesday, October 22 to reunite with his loving wife Karin in Heaven. They were married July 2, 1960 and shared 54 years of love together. Ron was born February 21, 1930 to Earl and Adeline Teller. He was a kind, patient, gentle and Godly man, who was an usher at Grace Fellowship where he worshipped his Lord and Savior. Ron served overseas in the Korean War as an Airplane Mechanic from 1950-1952. He worked for the Schenectady City Schools for over 40 years retiring in 1992. He is survived by his adoring and loving children, Colleen (David) Carkner, Joseph (Kelly) Teller, his grandchildren, David "DJ", Joshua, Jacob (Molly Nolan) Carkner, Alex and Katherine Teller, his adopted daughter Cathy Deuel and his adopted granddaughter Jennifer Deuel. He is also survived by his brother Frank Teller, his sisters Evelyn (Lawrence) Davenport, Ruth Thompson, Janet (Dave) Hollenbeck, Marjorie (Bob) Patnode, Vivian (Dick) Renus and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Jeffrey, his sister Mildred Simpson, his brothers Earl, Robert and Richard.
A Memorial Service officiated by Pastor Rex Keener of Grace Fellowship will be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 10:00AM at Trinity Reformed Church, 705 Curry Rd, Rotterdam NY. Internment with Military Honors will follow at Schenectady Memorial Cemetery. Contributions can be made in Ron's memory to the City Mission, 425 Hamilton St, Schenectady, NY 12305. The family would like to thank Ron's grandson, Jacob Carkner, and the staff at Ellis ER for doing everything they could to save his life.
