Ronald E. Thompson, Sr.

VOORHEESVILLE-Ronald E. Thompson, Sr. 78 passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his residence following an illness. He was born in Albany, NY the son of the late Merle and Mary Black Thompson. Ronald was a veteran of the United States Air force. Ronald was the owner of the Red and White Cab Company in Rensselaer, NY.
Ronald is survived by his beloved wife Frances J. (Plath) Thompson. He is the loving father of Ronald E. Thompson, Jr. (Virginia), Karin Thompson, Pamela Hallenbeck (Joseph), and Rosemary Puckett (David). Ronald is also survived by his grandchildren Sabrina Johnson-Cole (Mark), Ronald E. Thompson, III, David Hallenbeck, Mary Hallenbeck and Rebecca Harris (Shaun); five great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 6PM.
