RENSSELAER – Ronald F. LaCoy, 79, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 2, 2012 at home with his loving family by his side. Born February 16, 1933, he was the son of the late John and Velda (Mink) LaCoy.
Ronald served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing and casinos. Ron was known by many friends as "Mr. Fix-It," and a father to many.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 46 years, Helen (Harris) LaCoy; sons Ronald (Sabrina Koch), John, Christopher (Cindy Martyn), Angelo, Nicholas, and Rick; precious grandchildren Juliana, Aliyah, Jordan, Ronald F. III, Ella and Ava; stepbrother Joseph Aleschius; stepsister Joanne Aleschius, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his sister Nathalie LaCoy.
A special thank you goes to the Community Hospice of Rensselaer County, and the many friends and family that came to visit him in his final days.
A Funeral service will be held on Monday at 9:30 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park, Colonie.
