Ronald S. Frederick

Ronald S. Frederick, 82, was called home to The Lord on Good Friday, March 29, 2024. He has gone to the room that Jesus prepared for him.

Ron was born February 2, 1942 in Schenectady, the son of the late Spencer and Helen Frederick.

Ron was a graduate of Colonie Central High School in 1961, and also a graduate of Hudson Valley Community College. He served with the Air National Guard for several years. Ron worked for GE for 32 years as a Design Engineer for the Turbine Department. After his retirement, he enjoyed spending many summers at his beloved camp on Schroon Lake and gardening- spreading the fruits of his labor with family and neighbors. You could very often catch Ron on the golf course or at the bowling alley, or with a fishing pole in his hand at his camp.

In addition to his parents, Ron was predeceased by his step-mother, Elizabeth Frederick, and many aunts and uncles.

Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Cheryl; children, Sean Frederick (Tina), Stacey Moreau (Jason) and Kimberly Brennan (Todd); his two most precious grandchildren, Hannah and Spencer Moreau; brother, Raymond Frederick; step-brother, Jim Shirikian (Sharon); a host of cousins, and his best fur buddy, Charlie.

Ron was a very special man to all of his family and friends, and will be missed dearly. He has touched us all with his love, kindness, and sense of humor. Although his loss was unexpected, it was the Lord's plan. Ron is now in his eternal home with our Lord Jesus Christ.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 from 10AM-12PM, with a service to immediately follow at 12PM, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Internment to follow the service at Memory Gardens.
