Ronald J. Vogelsang

Ronald J. Vogelsang, 65, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Stratton VA Medical Center. Ron was born in Albany to the late Frederick and Angela Vogelsang. He proudly served for the Unites States Army and was employed with the Albany Post Office for many years. In addition to his parents Ron was predeceased by his step-father, Joseph Bernardo, his son, Michael Vogelsang and his brother, Frederick Vogelsang.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Diane (Finkle) Vogelsang, he is the father of, Ronald (Kim) Vogelsang and Kristine (Tom Collins) Vogelsang. He is the proud grandfather of Michael and Nicola Vogelsang and Zachary and Ryan Collins, and the brother of Robert Vogelsang.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday at 10:00 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 5 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
