Ronald H. Knauer

February 13, 1953 — May 10, 2017

Troy- Ronald H. Knauer, 64, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Henry and Norma Knauer.

Ronald enjoyed motorcycle racing, weightlifting, and working on the family farm. He served in the U.S. Army for three years before returning back to Troy to work on the family farm.

Ronald is survived by his six sisters, Joyce Zakrzewski (the late Ronald Zakrzewski), Lynne Moody (Bruce), Penny Silliman, Holly Cole (the late Thomas Cole), Pam Knauer (Bill Dean) and Sandy Knauer. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ronald is predeceased by his girlfriend of 25 years Betsy Gibb and his two brothers, Jimmy Knauer and Terry Knauer.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Steve Caporizzo's Pet Connection. A contribution may be made out to Pet Connection and sent to 341 Northern Blvd. Albany, NY 12204 in Ronald's name.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 10:00am-12:00pm at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY 12189. A funeral service will follow starting at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Eagle Mills Cemetery.
