Ronald L. Morse

COLONIE – Ronald L. Morse, 77, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 30, 2014 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Ron was born on August 24th to the late Lee and Evelyn Morse in Vergennes, VT. He was raised in Albany by his mother.

Ron worked for Capitol Oil for 20 years. He was a retired truck driver, most recently for Hannaford in Schodack.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years (July 2) Beverly (Hallahan) and his children Karen (Michael) Pomeroy and Linda (Patrick) Rotchford; grandsons Matthew and Thomas Rotchford; sisters-in-law Stephany and Virginia Morse; several nieces and nephews and his canine companion Smokey.

Ron was predeceased by his brothers, Albert, Everett and Leon.

Ron loved hunting, fishing, camping and boating in the Adirondacks and Thousand Islands with his family and friends. He was a very giving and helpful man and could fix anything! Ron was an oilman for many years.

The family wishes to thank Community Hospice of Albany and Schenectady for their compassionate care.

A funeral service will held on Saturday, July 5th at 5:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Community Hospice.
