ALBANY- Ronald F. Latham, 64, of Albany passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2005 at the VA Hospital after a long illness. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Leroy and Frances Laptula Latham.
Ron was a US Army veteran serving from 1958 through 1961. He was employed with the Albany County Sheriff's Department, CSEA and more recently as a driver for Yellow Cab in Albany for over twenty years. He was an avid New York Yankees fan.
Ron was always upbeat and positive. He was always willing to help and lend a hand. He had a genuine ability to brighten everyone's day. He was truly enjoyed by all who knew him.
Ron is survived by his beloved wife, Lillian C. Latham; his children, Ronald Latham Jr., Sandra Haynes and Steven Latham. He is the brother of Richard Latham, Raymond V. Latham and the late Frank Latham and Emma McCormick. He is the grandfather of Merissa and Victor Haynes. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Saturday morning from 10:30 to 12 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Funeral services will be Saturday at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memorys Garden, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to Veterans Administration Hospital 113 Holland Ave Albany NY 12208.
