Loudonville- Ronald P. Liuzzi, 75, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on November 22, 2017 at Community Hospice Inn. The son of the late John P. and Mary Catherine (Nolan) Liuzzi, Ron was born on November 18, 1942 in Albany, NY. Ron served his country honorably and faithfully in the Army National Guard. He was a plumber/streamfitter for the Local #7 in Albany for more than 30 years. Ron loved to spend time with his family and friends at his camp on Caroga Lake. He was an avid woodworker and fisherman.
Ron was predeceased by his loving wife of 46 years Loretta Liuzzi in 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers-in-law: Robert Mesick and Thomas Drugda and his sister-in-law, Deloris (Ayers) Liuzzi.
Ron is survived by his children: Ronald (Jeannie Reed) Liuzzi, Danielle (Dominick) Brennan and Tracy (Dean) Todriff; his grandchildren: Leanna, Rose, Savannah, Ronald Jr. and Rudi-Nichole Liuzzi, Joseph Dana, Dominick Brennan, Jr., Zachary and Dean Todriff, Jr.; his siblings: Louis (Joan) Liuzzi, Barbara Mesick, Maureen Drugda and Kevin Liuzzi and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ron's family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff of the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
Visitation will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Monday November 27 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Latham/Watervliet, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Pius X Church on Tuesday, November 29. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home at 9 am on Tuesday prior to Mass. Interment with military honors will follow at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
