Ronald Mcdonagh

Delmar – Ronald W. McDonagh, 75, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at home. Ronald, born in Manhattan, was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Flynn) McDonagh.

Ronald was a graduate of Suny Oswego. He retired from the NYS Department of Corrections in 2019. However, he continued promoting the college program for Hudson Correctional Facility and working with kids of Albany BOCES. He will surely be missed by all.

Ronald is survived by his beloved wife, Diana; his son, Frank (Kelsey), his daughter, Amanda and his grandchildren, Chase and Emma.

Ronald enjoyed spending time with his family, especially in the Adirondacks. He also enjoyed hiking, kayaking and vacationing in Hilton Head.

Services will be held privately for family only. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at St Peters Hospital and Community Hospice.
