Ronald William Prokopiak, of Albany, New York, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022.
Ron was born on December 17, 1949 to Blanche Prokopiak in New York, New York. He loved telling stories about growing up on the East Side of Manhattan.
He attended St. Joseph's Elementary School and Cardinal Hayes High School in the Bronx. Ron enrolled in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York after high school and remained in the area ever since. In 1998, he received a Bachelor of Science from the State University of New York Institute of Technology at Utica/Rome.
Ron spent a lifetime making new friends, helping others and enjoying every day.
Ron is survived by his family (Joshua, Megan, Taylor and Conor Prokopiak & Heather, Garrett, Nicholas and Bennett Plowman) and many friends.
There will be a memorial service for Ron on Friday, August 19, 2022 from 4:00pm - 6:00pm at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205.
