Ronald P. Samaha, 83, of Colonie, New York, leaving everything behind, answered God's call on Thursday, February 24, 2022. He is survived by his loving wife, son, daughter, and grandchildren.
Ron was born in Danbury, Connecticut, son of the late George Arthur Samaha and Eva Mary (Simon) Samaha on May 13, 1938.
Ron went to pre-school in New Patlz, New York, and graduated from Poughkeepsie New York High School in June, 1956. He went on to attended Pratt Institute in New York City from 1956 to 1958 when he then served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge in 1962.
Ron married Mary Lou Rodriguez on July 18, 1962 in San Antonio, Texas. He was employed at Poughkeepsie Decal Separator from 1962 to 1963, when he then went to work for Western Electric on February, 1966 and stayed there through the rest of his working days.
From teaching in Ohio, to many years traveling as an Installation Supervisor to Engineer when finally working here in Albany until his retirement on September 30, 1994.
Ron will be remembered for his bowling league days (American Bowling Congress approved) his 299 game and 800 series on January 22, 2003 and many years active in his golf leagues, last but not least, finally joining the Thunder Road Seniors Village Singers where his fellow singing friends brought their Christmas Concert to him at the Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie, New York last year.
Mary Lou wishes to thank the staff and all whose caring compassion helped Ron through his time there, especially Mary Lou and Ron's life lines; Dr. Kathleen, Bridget, Haley, Adriana, Shirley, "Marsha, Marsha", and Flint.
Regretfully Mary Lou now hands over her beloved Ron's hand to the hand of God.
