ROTTERDAM - Ronald Siegel (Stanco) passed away suddenly on December 7, 2016. Born on March 25, 1946, in Newark NJ, to the late Delores Kohler and Stepfather William Siegel. Ronald was also the son of the late Frank Stanco.
He was a devoted father to the love of his life, Danielle, husband Kevin, and adored his granddaughter Paiten. He is survived by his siblings, Al Stanco of Florida and Anthony Bello of Texas. He is also survived by many "nieces and nephews".
Ron was employed at the family business of Emil's News for 40 years. He was a loyal employee while working side-by-side with family members Jerry and Anthony Farina. Ron established friendly relationships with numerous customers and would often strike up conversations about football and his love of motorcycles. Ron shared a special friendship with his longtime friend Lynn Roeder. They shared a common interest in motorcycle riding and often went on adventures, along with friends Joe and Cindy D'ambrocia. He will be greatly missed from the breakfast crew, cousin Jerry, John Morizio and Paul Iula. Ron adored his cats, Tinker and Bell, who have been lovingly adopted by his nephew Anthony. He had longtime friendships with Gary Dicocco, Art Taylor, Marco Zumbolo, Jerry Maiorano, Julia Tarbox (Danielle's mother) and many more.
Ron was well known for his kind soul, warm heart and fun-loving sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will be held from 1pm-4pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at New Comer Funeral Home, Colonie. A memorial service will immediately follow at 4pm at the funeral home.
