Ronnie A. Labounty

BALLSTON SPA – Ronnie A. LaBounty, a longtime resident of Ballston Spa, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Albany Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. He was 72. Born on November 07, 1939, he was the son of the late Earl and Dorothy LaBounty. He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force. In Ronnie's long lived life he accomplished many things. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Among the love for his country and family, he always made time for things he loved, including fishing, having big family barbeques and his diet Pepsi and candy. He leaves us with many loving and joyful memories although he was swept so quickly from our lives. Ronnie leaves behind his beloved wife, Barbara N. (Kosa) LaBounty. He is the devoted father of Diane Writer, Steven Baldwin, Ronald and Yahira Writer, Raymond and Gwen Writer, Debra Writer, Ronnie LaBounty, Norman LaBounty, Jeffery LaBounty, Chuckie LaBounty and the late Paul Writer. Ronnie is the loving brother of Joe and Jackie LaBounty, Bruce and Sandy LaBounty, Larry LaBounty, June Hunt, and the late Earl, Howard, Anthony and Donna LaBounty. He is the cherished grandfather of 18 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Ronnie was also predeceased by his grandson, Scott Allen.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.), P.O. Box 2497, Wilton, NY 12831 in memory of Ronnie A. LaBounty.
