Rosanna T. Carty

COLONIE – Rosanna T. Carty, 74, of Colonie passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at the Inn of Community Hospice, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Arthur R. and Elizabeth Roth Beauregard. Rosanna was a self-employed hairdresser for many years. She enjoyed the ocean, traveling, family gatherings and frequenting casinos. She was a talented cook and a wonderful loving wife and mother.
Rosanna is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Richard T. Carty. She is the devoted mother of Kevin J. Carty of Redondo Beach, CA, and Karen L. Carty (Michael F. Archer) of Colonie. Rosanna is the sister of Gail Bernard of St. Petersburg, FL, and the late Bernadette Martin and Arthur Beauregard Jr. She is the daughter-in-law of Nancy Carty and the sister-in-law of Nancy Stevenson, both of Ocala, FL, and sister-in-law of Frank Martin. She is also survived by several wonderful nieces and nephews. Rosanna will be dearly missed by many friends, especially the Rossi and Braman families.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 9:30 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 or American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of Rosanna T. Carty.
