Feura Bush- Rosanne Barkman, 63, passed away on March 2, 2018 at St. Peter's Hospice with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on April 20, 1954 in Albany, daughter of Shirley A. and the late Antonio R. Fusco Sr. Rosanne was raised in Colonie, attending Colonie Central High School and then graduating from Albany Business College in 1974. She retired in 2015 from PSEG Power New York.
In 2002 Rosanne married the love of her life and soul mate, Larry R. Barkman. They enjoyed traveling with their camping trailer for many years and trips to Hawaii and the Bahamas.
Besides her beloved husband, Rosanne is survived by her brothers, Antonio (Tony) R. Fusco, Jr. (Kathleen) of Clifton Park and Michael Fusco (Karen) of Colonie; her three children, Shannon L. Powers of Feura Bush, Erin Datri (Eric) of Ravena and Matthew Barkman (Jennifer) of Glenmont. Rosanne or Nana as she is called is survived by three grandchildren, Anthony & Olivia Datri and Caitlin Barkman; several nieces & nephews.
After her retirement she looked forward to spending more time with her grandchildren, which brought her so much joy. She will be sorely missed by her constant companion, Morgan, who stayed by her side through her sickness; he was always there with a lick and a wag of his tail.
Calling hours for Rosanne will be on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 from 4pm until 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, 12205, where a service will be held at 7pm. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Albany.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Pet Connection, 341 Northern Blvd, Albany, NY, 12204.
