Schenectady~
Rosaria Facci, 95, of Schenectady, entered into eternal life on Monday, March 5, 2018 in the care of The Schenectady Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Born in New York City on September 16, 1922, Rosaria was the daughter of the late Stefano and Lucia (Mastromauro) Ingannamorte. She was the devoted wife of the late Rosario Facci, together they were married 45 years until his passing in 1997.
In her youth, Rosaria moved to Italy with her family where she received her formal education. She attend the University of Bari for her doctorate in pharmacology. After meeting her husband in Italy they settled in Schenectady and raised their family.
A devout Roman Catholic, Rosaria was a lifelong communicant of both St. Anthony's and St. John the Evangelist in Schenectady.
Rosaria was a successful, self-employed business woman for over 50 years in the community. But above all, she was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed cooking. Family gatherings and feeding many relatives brought her joy. In her pastime she enjoyed gardening and was also an avid reader, which brought her peace.
Loving mother of John Facci of Webster, Mario Facci of Ballston Lake, and Giulio Facci of Rotterdam as well as their spouses. Cherished grandmother of numerous grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Dearest sister of Frances Piccione. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Rosaria was predeceased by her brother Dominic and sister Rose.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Friday, March 9th from 5-7 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. John Facci at 9 am, Saturday, March 10th at St. John the Evangelist Church, 806 Union St, Schenectady.
Interment will follow the mass in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schenectady.
