Rose Annello

GUILDERLAND – Rose Annello, 89, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 09, 2012. Born in Utica, NY she was the daughter of the late Liberanti and Carmella Failla. She worked for Hycks Felt in Rensselaer and then for the Albany City School District. Rose was an active member of the Guilderland Senior Citizens and a parishioner of Christ the King Church. She enjoyed cooking, especially for her family.

Rose was the beloved wife of the late John A. Annello. She is the devoted mother of Rosemarie (Robert) Dwyer of Guilderland. Rose is the cherished grandmother of Michelle (Michael) Barton and Eric and Tracy Dwyer. She is the loving great-grandmother of Ryan and Emma Barton. Also surviving is her sister, Ida Palumbo and several nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her canine companion, "Teddy." In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her siblings, Sebastian Failla, Lucille Lord, Anthony Failla, Arthur Failla and Oresti Failla.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King Church, Guilderland. Calling hours will be Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). The parish family of Christ the King will gather at the funeral home on Monday at 4:30 p.m. for a service of prayer and remembrance. All are welcome. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
