Rose D. Filicoski

Rose D. Filicoski, 93, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, February 27, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. Rose was born in Albany to the late Francesco and Maria Silvano. Rose worked for many years, until retirement with the United States Postal Service. She loved to spend time with family, especially playing games with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and was a generous, kind, loving person to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Rose was predeceased by her husband of over 53 years, Alexander.
Rose is survived by her beloved son; Daniel and his wife Holly Filicoski; she is the cherished grandmother of, Daniel, David, Alexandra, Christine and Nicholas. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Sandy, Laurie and Donna with the Community Hospice of Saratoga; and to Father David Mickiewicz for all of their care and compassion shown to Rose and her family.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 am at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will be held Wednesday from 9 to 10 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
