Rose M. Emmett

Albany- Rose M. Emmett, 95, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 14, 2022 with her son at her side. Rose was born on April 15, 1927 to Frederick and Rose Hartman.
Rose graduated from Philip Schuyler High School in 1945 and worked for the New York Telephone Company for 36 years.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, John E. Emmett Jr. as well as her brothers Frederick and Arthur Hartman.
She is survived by her children Rosemarie Fahd (Richard) and John E. Emmett III (Sara); grandchildren, Jennifer Fahd, Stephanie Lencewicz (Eric) and Richard Fahd Jr. (Erica). She will also be missed by her great grandchildren Nicole, Katelyn, Brenden, Noah, Alexa Rose and several nieces, nephews and her dear friend Judi Emmett.
Rose lived a full life with courage, dignity and style. She was a thoughtful and a generous person.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the hospice nurses who were there to assist and support the family with Rose's care.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rose's beloved church, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 107 State St. Albany, NY 12207.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9am-11:30am at New Comer Cremation & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie, NY 12205.
A celebration will follow at 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
